For a few years now I’ve contemplated starting my own blog. Why?

- Well, why not?

- I wanted a place to write my thoughts out loud

- It could possibly improve my engineer-ish writing skills

- I could share my life with others

And that last thought is what made me realize there are already tools in existence where you can share your life with others – MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. So I decided to give it a try. After waiting a few years to see who would win, I joined Facebook (February 16, 2009).  I started telling Dave (blog user) about the greatness that is Facebook but then I started thinking – I never really even gave blogging a chance? So on April 27, 2009 I posted my first blog entry.

Now, the race is on – blog v. Facebook – who will win? I’ll keep you posted.
